Support When It Matters Most
Bright Horizons for Canarsie and Beyond provides one-time, short-term emergency support in the following areas:
Rent & Housing Stabilization – Helping prevent eviction and protect safe, stable housing.
Utility Assistance – Restoring or maintaining essential services such as electricity, gas, and water.
Child Care Support – Bridging short-term gaps to help parents maintain employment or training.
Transportation Assistance – Ensuring access to work, school, court-mandated visits, or essential appointments during urgent situations.
General Emergency Assistance – Addressing urgent, unexpected needs that threaten immediate stability.
In some cases, assistance may include support across more than one category to fully address a household’s immediate needs. Our support is designed to provide relief during critical moments — helping individuals regain footing and move forward with dignity.
Who We Serve
Bright Horizons for Canarsie and Beyond focuses on members of the Canarsie High School family whose connection to CHS was formed between 1987 and 2011.
We serve alumni from those graduating classes and former staff who supported the school community during that time. Individuals who attended CHS but did not graduate may be considered through trusted community referrals.
